About the Artist
Eliora Secchia is a multidisciplinary artist who weaves storytelling, painting and poetry into soulful reflections on inner life and quiet beauty. Her work invites others to slow down, feel deeply and rediscover everyday magic. Eliora creates art that offers comfort, presence and a gentle call to live with vulnerability and joy.
Eliora grew up in Ethiopia before moving to Finland, where she is currently living. Her inspiration comes from her multicultural heritage, Christian faith, and a longing to create art that speaks to the soul and reminds us we're not alone. The ability to notice the little joys in life has fuelled her desire to create art that feels like a breath of calm in a restless world. When she's not painting, Eliora is writing poetry, playing guitar, or reading novels.
In her paintings, Eliora tells a story through thick oil tectures, bold colour and abstract backgrounds. Her recent discovery of oil painting has blossomed her creative expression, adding depth and intimacy to her evolving body of work. Her subjects, often alone in vast, dreamlike landscapes, serve as vessels for emotion and deep reflection. There is an undercurrent of longing and healing in her work, shaped by grief, nostalgia and the sense of being slightly out-of-step with this modern world.
